Sam Tang

Partner, Presence

Sam Tang is a partner at Presence, a digital creative agency, and a senior affiliate instructor in the UW Communication Leadership master’s program. He’s been in the marketing and communications industry since 2006 and has an interest in experimental social marketing.

Tang has worked in e-commerce and digital communications, where he’s honed his innovative perspective on marketing and emerging technology. He’s created high-impact marketing and social media campaigns for a variety of industries, including gaming, fashion, retail, government and nonprofit.

Tang focuses on the emerging generation of media consumers and content creators on social platforms. He researches and produces experimental content, looking for insights on upcoming trends and the transformative power of AI. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at Grinnell College.
